We pride ourselves in providing a professional service with a personal touch, and we like to get to know our patients and their owners.
Woodmancote Veterinary Surgery was founded in 1985 by Mary Cheslin. We were originally in Bishops Cleeve, but we soon moved into larger premises on the edge of Woodmancote. The area has seen many changes since then, and the growth of the villages has caused an increase in the small animal work on which we now concentrate, but we still treat some large animals.
Mary has been assisted for some years by vets Jackie Wharton and Theresa McGoldrick, and we have recently been joined by Emma Parkinson. We also have a team of experienced, qualified nurses and students.
We have good diagnostic equipment including X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, and blood analysers. For specialised techniques such as MRI and CT scans we can arrange prompt attention at the excellent referral centres within easy reach with whom we have a good relationship. We also have ample hospitalisation accommodation and all our vets live within a few minutes from the surgery if out of hours care is needed.
